About Hatha Yoga
Hatha yoga is a branch of yoga that focuses on :
physical postures (asanas),
breathing techniques (pranayama),
and meditation,
to bring balance to the body and mind.
The word "Hatha" is derived from two Sanskrit words:
- "Ha" meaning the sun (representing active vitalizing energy)
- "Tha" meaning the moon (representing calm energy)
Hatha yoga aims to harmonize these energies, promoting physical strength, flexibility, and mental clarity. It is often practiced at a slower pace, making it accessible to beginners. Through controlled movements, breathwork, and mindfulness, Hatha yoga enhances overall well-being and prepares the body for deeper meditation practices.
